Slackware Raspberry Pi is now a read-only file system

I left the solution to this on Reddit.  It was not a Slackware only issue as I first thought, but that there were no inodes left in root.

1. Episode 29.5 of the Urandom Podcast is up.  Recorded from the eighth floor of the impressive Hyatt Regency in the Columbus Convention Center, this exclusive Ohio Linux Fest episode includes +Thaj Sara and +Lyle McKarns from Urandom, +Kevin O’Brien from Hacker Public Radio, +Tony Bemus from the Sunday Morning Linux Review, and yours truly.  Enjoy.
2. With Google Plus going away (OK, we have at least a year), I took the liberty of creating a MeWe page for the podcast https://mewe.com/group/5bc77fc4a5f4e501fd9a2bbd .  I’m going to look at setting up a Discord, a Mattermost, maybe even a Diaspora on my cloud space.  These will all be test instances for now, I don’t want to split the fanbase (meaning, I don’t want to look five places for messages before each show :), but we can spend a few months kicking the tires on these things.

FiftyOneFifty:  Update on the Mi MiniPC.  Apparently the design change made during the funding campaign to go with a faster Intel proc necessitated a slightly larger case and active cooling.  This also includes a larger 6″ touch screen and a delay on shipments to at least November, if the developers are to be believed at all.  As a crowd funder, the changes are not a deal breaker to me, but it means I won’t be bringing it to OLF.  https://liliputing.com/2018/09/mi-mini-pc-delayed-redesigned-crowdfunding.html

Looking for a battery pack/UPS for Raspberry Pi. Unit needs to supply continuous power when main power is lost. Any suggestions?

A couple friends and I have been talking about a soft-reboot of Oggcast Planet Live.  By soft-reboot, rather than creating a separate event, we would create a concensus on an existing con and try to get as many Linux podcasts in one place at one time as possible.  If that works out, we’ll see going forward if there is interest in an event for just us.  I’d like feedback on my personal e-mail if there is any interest.
