minnix: entware packages for use with ASUS Merlin firmware
https://bin.entware.net/armv7sf-k3.2/Packages.html

minnix: my ShinobiCCTV setup consists of an older AMD64 PC hardwired to my router with an SSD and Ubuntu 18.04 installed. Cameras are Wyze 2.0 security cameras with the RTSP firmware installed.
RTSP firmware: https://support.wyzecam.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026245231
Install instructions I followed: https://shinobi.video/docs/start#content-ubuntu–the-easier-way It basically pulls down the git repo and
you run the installer and that’s it. Test your RTSP stream with VLC, if it can play in there it should be good for Shinobi. Also for the cameras they have to have internet access for the initial setup but after setup you can blacklist them in your router to prevent them from being accessed out of your network.
I have Shinobi setup to email me motion detection pics and a short vid. If I want to view a live stream or full recordings I access my network via VPN. Any questions, Shinobi has a discord and the developer is pretty responsive. https://discord.gg/7nmsAD

Today marks the day when (mostly) open-source firmware for off-the-shelf modern servers becomes an option.
Open-source firmware is the right choice for humanity. As our devices effectively become extensions of our minds, it becomes critical that the hardware and software we use are trustworthy._

Hello all

iTunes has worked in wine for about 10 years, but the phone/tablet will never get system updates via that iTunes, updates only come down in Windows/Mac
I believe iTunes in a Windows VM on a Linunx host cannot even get updates for hardware
If you can get updates over mobile data than I believe most of iTunes will work “fine”, DRM video might have issues
Thanks

If you are running Gnome desktop and installed Gnome extensions you may want to check if your Linux system is infected with the EvilGnome spyware, you can look for the “gnome-shell-ext” executable in the “~/.cache/gnome-software/gnome-shell-extensions” directory
