Welcome to Episode 114 of the LinuxLUGcast
We are an open podcast/LUG that meets at 9 PM EST every first and third friday of the month using mumble.
If you would like to join us all you need to do is install a mumble client on your computer or mobile device, go to linuxlugcast.com to get the server details, then just join us in the “LinuxLUGcast” room. If you do not want to participate, just listen you can connect to the mumble server, go into the “listening booth” room. If you need help configuring your mumble client there is a “How to” on our site explaining how to configure the desktop client.

Installed Nitrix on a laptop bare metal. https://nxos.org/ Ubuntu based. Nomad desktop, KDE and Plasma 5. Nitrix requires a 550Mb FAT32 partition labeled /boot/efi to support UEFI
Solus OS desktop seems to have locked up in the same way as it did a few months ago, blinking cursor instead of GUI. This time, editing Grub (hit ‘e’ on Grub screen, make a selection from Grub menu), finding ling with ‘silent’ and ‘splash’ and adding ‘single’ https://askubuntu.com/questions/132965/how-do-i-boot-into-single-user-mode-from-grub does not drop me to a command prompt.
